Walk left from the Queen's Arms and walk along the road to a junction, where you turn right. At the next corner go right again up a track, past the cottages. At the junction turn and ascend the hillside. The track leads to another junction. Go left here and on reaching the road, turn right to ascend through the drystone-walled enclosures.

The road levels at a junction of tracks and descends to Over Wheal Farm. Keep ahead, winding towards Deep Dale. Go left over a stile and walk down the dale. As the path curves left and right with the boundary wall, cross it and continue through Deep Dale, with the wall to your left.

The path through Deep Dale is obvious; continue to the northern end of the valley and go right as the path bends around a crag. Cut down left through the dry valley and cross the field, towards the A6. Halhway along, a yellow marker points the way left up the bank through scrub and rocks to a stile. Cross the stile and continue up Demon's Dale out of Deep Dale. Walk between bushes and through the gap stile on the left then turn right to climb in the same direction as before.

Follow the path up through farmland to a stile and gate; continue ahead to Taddington Field Farm. Go over the step stile and turn right. Go through stiles to the left of a shed and left afterwards to join a road leading away from the farm.

Ascend the road, passing Lodley View, and continue down to the junction. Just before the junction, turn right onto the little track, which meets the tarmac track again. The track joins the tarmac road in a short while. Follow the road into Taddington.
